Happy Memorial Day! Today we respectfully remember everyone who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. I would also like to say a special thank you to everyone who is currently risking their lives to fight for the freedom of this country. It is greatly appreciated. I had a nice day at the pool the other day relaxing & watching the clouds go by. It's fun seeing what images you can find in puffy white shapes floating high above us. I'm so proud of my son Douglas for doing an excellent job performing his card tricks at the annual Free Book Fair this past Saturday. He performed for over thirty people over the course of the day. Well, the big Valiant Cup/50th Anniversary weekend is behind us, but the parade of fun keeps marching on at BWC! In this case I mean that literally! Any BWC student & staff member that would like to match in the VA Hospital parade in Salem, VA on Sat. 5/17 please meet at the VA Hospital promptly at 9am sharp to line up for the parade which starts at 10am. Today is a very special day in wrestling history! It is the official 50th anniversary of Jimmy Valiant's first wrestling match! Yesterday was the big 50th anniversary celebration at BWC & it was not only a complete success, it was an awesome BWC Family gathering that was a fitting tribute to the man & all he has given to the wrestling world. Camp was jam packed not only w/people but w/love, caring, respect & lots & lots of fun! Congrats Boogie on reaching this great milestone in your life & thank you for the great wrestling memories & personal memories that you have given me!
