The waiting is almost over! Every year on the first Saturday in May, BWC teams w/the EWA to hold a wrestling show considered to be our 'Wrestlemania!' That's right, I'm talking about the annual Valiant Cup show in Elkin, NC at the Elkin National Guard Armory! The prestigious Valiant Cup will be on the line in a big battle royal! Then, the next day at camp, The Curtis Parker Memorial Cup will be up for grabs in another awesome battle royal! You won't want to miss either exciting day as wrestling history will be made! I had a blast yesterday at the NRV Con in the University Mall in Blacksburg, VA w/Lil' MM, Moviestar & Boogie! It was extra exciting for me because it was Lil' MM's first time being a guest at the show. He did a great job & sold a bunch of copies of his cool new 'Sock Store Showdown' mini-comic. Talk about a tongue twister title! I'm very proud of him. It is always a great time when the 'Fab Four' get together. Be back this Thursday as the World Gone Mad storyline continues! I'll always remember my Uncle Ted as having a wonderful sense of humor & a great smile. He always seemed to have a lighthearted easygoing attitude & he always seemed to enjoy life. It was a pleasure to spend time w/him at family gatherings or to run into him somewhere out in our relatively small town. I'd like to think that my relationships & interactions w/my nieces & nephews were influenced by the playful way he interacted w/me when I was younger. It was always so special going to Uncle Ted's & Aunt Esther's house on Christmas day. They always had the prettiest Christmas trees & they always had a warm inviting home to spend quality family time in. I am saddened by his passing & will miss him greatly, but I will always remember the bright light & positive example that he was in my life. I love you Uncle Ted. Now, on a happier note, there seems to be hope left for Magnet Man after all. Or is Boogie just being overly optimistic? Be back this Monday to see what happens next! The annual Valiant Cup show is getting close! The big battle royal for the prestigious trophy will be held on Sat. May 7th in Elkin, NC at the Elkin National Guard Armory as part of the EWA Wrestling show. The next day, the Parker Cup will be up for grabs in another epic battle royal at BWC. Basketball is probably my favorite sport to play. I enjoy watching it on TV too, but I don't really follow it, at least not until the championship series comes around. Still, it's always nice to see history made in the world of sports. So congratulations to the Golden State Warriors for their history making 73-9 record this year! I still say Michael Jordan is the best of all time tough. Hats off also to Kobe Bryant for finishing his career in style last night. Big night for basketball history last night. & comic strip history is made every Monday & Thursday w/each new installment in the ongoing Boogieland or Bust saga! I was excited to pick up the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie on Blu-ray/DVD the first day it was released. Didn't get to watch it right away. but finally got around to watching it the other night w/my son Douglas & wife Gala. Douglas & I had seen it at the theater, but this was Gala's first time watching it. It was a fun family movie night w/a great movie & my wife's delicious popcorn! As I type this I'm watching Escape From New York w/Moviestar. I've never seen it before. I'm enjoying it so far. Very interesting. Last week we watched Big Trouble In Little China. My son Douglas started yet another season of soccer on Saturday. He played goalie in the first half of the game & striker in the second half. He didn't let anything get past him in a great 5-0 victory for his team! Wonderful way to start the season! I had a blast yesterday watching Wrestlemania w/Douglas & Moviestar. The Brock Lesnar vs Dean Ambrose Street Fight was my favorite match of the night. I liked how Lesnar could use weapons but chose not to because he didn't need them to beat Ambrose & Ambrose could only realistically beat Lesnar by using weapons. I thought all the matches were good this year, but that one stands out to me as the most interesting to watch. Be back this Thursday as the 'Word Gone Mad' storyline continues! Don't miss it!
