 Well, back to reality again after being surrounded by super heroes & all kinds of pop culture characters in the comic book wonderland that is Heroes Con! It was fun, but it's always nice to come home again & I now have lots of great comics to read to go right back to that fantasy world anytime I want! Speaking of which, you can visit the make believe comic book version of BWC every Mon. & Thurs. in the Boogieland Comic Strip & you can visit the real life Boogieland at Boogie's Wrestling Camp every Sunday from Noon to 4pm in Shawsville, VA!  Wow! What a blast! Heroes Con 2018, my 24th in a row, was a complete success & a ton of fun! I think I say pretty much the same thing after every Heroes, but it's very true that the best part is seeing old friends again & meeting new ones. It was awesome meeting the legendary, Al Milgrom, co-creator of my all-time favorite comic book character, Firestorm! I've wanted to meet Al or his Firestorm collaborator, Gerry Conway for years & years & it finally happened on Sat. at Heroes! Maybe someday I'll see Gerry too & I'll have the complete set, but for now I'm super stoked to have met Mr. Milgrom. There was also an awesome panel about pro wrestling in comics. You can't beat a panel about two of my favorite things, wrestling & comics! After the wrestling panel, I went to meet the panelists Tini Howard, Andy Belanger & J Gonzo & they were all super cool & very friendly. On the cosplay front, the costumes were amazing as always! Douglas & I ended up getting a picture w/over 20 of the cosplayers. The whole show was another great experience! What a wonderful way to spend Father's Day! Can't wait for next year!  The Valiant Cup/Parker Cup weekend was a complete success! Congrats to 2018 Valiant Cup winner David House & 2018 Parker Cup winner Mike Mars! Both men outlasted a ring full of opponents & emerged as the last man standing! Thanks to Pure Pro Wrestling for hosting this year's Valiant Cup battle royal! This year the big event will be hosted by Pure Pro Wrestgling at the Pelham Community Center in Pelham, NC. Then, on Sun., June 10th, it's Parker Cup Day from Noon to 4pm at Boogie's Wrestling Camp! Another big battle royal will be held to determine the winner of the Parker Cup. This event takes place annually to remember Frank The Tank Parker's father, Curtis Parker.
