It was a big weekend for Boogie this past weekend. I'd like to personally congratulate him for receiving a 'Lifetime Achievement Award' from Jim Cornette at the Big Time Wrestling/Omega Championship Wrestling show this past Fri. in Raleigh, NC. I know Boogie really appreciates the special honor. Then Sat. was a successful day of meeting fans at the annual Mysticon in Roanoke, VA. & of course camp on Sunday! You can't beat that! I know the Boogieland versions of Boogie & MM would really like to be back at camp right now instead of... wherever they are! Be back this Thursday to see what Boogie saw. Also, be sure to check out the special Boogieland or Bust Leap Year Annual #2 over on the blog. It's good fun every four years! Don't miss it! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Thanks for reading! Take care!

Had an excellent time at camp yesterday. I shot a new Boogieland Bits video w/some highly talented, class act, very professional people, who nailed it in one take! That's how we roll every Sunday at BWC! Special thanks to everyone who was a part of the filming. It was so nice to spend some quality time talking w/my dear friends Boogie & Angel. It was nice as always being w/the family. Look for the new Boogieland Bits video to be posted soon. Be back this Thursday for the next Boogieland comic strip. Don't miss it! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Thanks for reading! Take care!
I always like celebrating milestones, so I think it's extra cool that my team, the Broncos, won the 50th Super Bowl. A fact that I once again vaguely referenced in today's strip. Speaking of milestones & today's strip, it seems like only yesterday that I published the big milestone 500th strip, & now here I am celebrating another milestone in #550. Very cool. It is a great honor to do this strip about Boogie, Angel, BWC & the entire BWC Family. As you might have noticed in the last two panels, things are about to get a little unusual. It might be a little hard to follow at times, but I hope you will come along for the ride as we descend further into a World Gone Mad! Be back this Thursday to see exactly what I'm talking about. I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Thanks for reading! Take care!
Well, it looks like more bad weather in my neighborhood. Not too much snow yet, but the roads are already covered & the bad thing is they are calling for ice too, which could mean loss of power. So if you happen to be checking this early, (it's exactly 9pm on Sunday night as I type this) you will get a sneak peek at tomorrow's comic since I'm going to go ahead & publish it a little early in case I do lose power. Happy Valentine's Day by the way. I think it is nice to take a day & celebrate how wonderful love is. & it's super special to be able to go to a place like BWC which is so full of love every Sunday. Special thanks to Boogie & Angel for the love they so freely share & for all that they do. Be back this Thursday for MM's big confession! Don't miss it! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Thanks for reading! Take care!
I'm am still obviously happy & excited about my team winning the Super Bowl after way too long. I even worked in a pretty obvious reference in this very strip. Valentine's Day is this weekend. I'm looking forward to celebrating it w/the love of my life, my beautiful wife Gala. I hope you have a nice weekend too! Be back this Monday for another strip! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Thanks for reading! Take care!
As I mentioned last time, this 'World Gone Mad' storyline has been something I've been thinking about since I was a kid. Something else that's been on my mind since I was a kid is the Denver Broncos. As a lifetime Broncos fan, I'm so happy that they defied the odds & won the milestone 50th Super Bowl last night! Very proud of my favorite team! It was great to be able to cheer for them w/my son Douglas & see the game end w/a big win! Go Broncos! Be back this Thurs. for the next exciting installment in the 'World Gone Mad' saga! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Thanks for reading!
This is a storyline that I have been waiting to do for a long, long time. Not sure exactly, but probably about 30 years or so! Since I can remember, I've made up my own comic book characters & imagined the adventures they could have. When Crisis On Infinite Earths came out from DC, I was inspired to do a somewhat similar storyline featuring my own characters. The title I came up w/was 'World Gone Mad.' Unfortunately, I never got past the planning & daydreaming stages of the project, but it was always fun to think about. It recently occurred to me that it would be cool to finally make my childhood idea a reality right here in the Boogieland strip. If you had told me then that I would be able to include Jimmy Valiant in my story, I would have thought you were crazy. Now, all these years later, it's really cool to be able to include him. One thing that was consistent during my years of daydreaming about the World Gone Mad idea was the line 'You're out of uniform, soldier.' That line was always intended to start the whole thing off. Not sure where exactly I heard the line, but I wanted to make sure to include it as planned. For the record, I don't think this storyline will be very much like Crisis at all, but I just wanted to give a little background on my childhood dream that I am finally going to make a reality. Thank you for being a part of it by reading along! I hope you enjoy where this storyline takes you. It should get a little crazy! Be back this Monday for part two! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Thanks for reading!
It was a special day for me yesterday as my sweet dog Poe made her first visit to BWC! She enjoyed all the love and attention she received from the BWC Family! It was really nice having my son, Douglas, & my wife, Gala along for a wonderful family day at camp! Special thanks to Nightmare & Boogie for the inspiration for the 'One Possible Origin' storyline. Be back this Thursday for the start of a new Boogieland comic strip story! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Thanks for reading! Poe w/MM & Lil' MM on her first trip to BWC!
