I'm pleased to announce that Boogie's facebook presence just got even stronger with an all new page dedicated to all things BWC! The new page is run by BWC Alumni & family member Jeremy Meador, who I'll always be grateful to for bringing us the delicious Boogie Burger! It sounds like Jeremy has some great things in store for Boogie fans everywhere w/his new BWC page which joins two awesome BWC themed groups by longtime BWC family members Janice Coffman & Doc & Precious, plus Boogie & Angel's own personal facebook account of course! The next time you are on facebook then I highly recommend checking out all of the above mentioned places which all have something unique to offer for any true Boogie Fan! & of course, don't forget to come back here every Monday & Thursday to follow Boogie's comic strip adventures! & better than all of that, I would highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Well, looks like I spoke a little too soon about the coming of spring. I was driving home from work in freezing rain or something nasty like that tonight. It wasn't bad enough to be too dangerous & I'm sure spring is still on pace to get here soon. I'd like to say thank you to Boogie & Angel's precious granddaughter, Myah, for joining in the comic strip fun in a special way! I hear Myah is a big mermaid fan, so I hope she likes her character in the Boogieland comic strip world! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Thanks for reading! Take care!
Well, winter is coming to a close & spring is right around the corner. & while I'm not so much a fan of April showers, I do look forward to stopping & smelling the May flowers. I'm glad it was a milder winter than predicted for my neck of the woods, but I'm thankful my son Douglas & I got to spend a couple of fun snow days together. I'm sure Boogie would welcome watching the seasons change instead of floating helplessly in the cold, depths of space! Be back this Sunday, March 17th as the identity of the person in space w/Boogie is revealed & we find out if they are friend or foe! Don't miss it! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Thanks for reading! Take care!
Well, daylight savings time is here & missing that hour of sleep makes it feel more like a stumble than a spring forward! Still, once I get used to the schedule change, I will enjoy magically having an extra hour of sunlight each day! I don't suppose that kind of thing really matters to someone who is currently floating endlessly in outer space. Be back this Thursday, March 14th, to see how Boogie is faring in his current predicament, be I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. This entire Deep City Rising storyline was initially inspired by a sketch of Boogie that Shannon Smith drew for me a couple years back at Heroes Con in Charlotte, NC. I've included the sketch below so you can see for yourself how cool it is! Shannon is a very talented artist & writer & I always make a point to seek him out at the annual Heroes Con comic book show to pick up his latest publications & hopefully a cool sketch or two. From the moment I saw his highly creative depiction of Boogie riding a shark through space I knew there was a story there. I just had to figure out how Boogie got on the shark & why he was in outer space & the rest of the story just kind of filled in from there. I'm very pleased w/the finished result & I wanted to give credit where credit is due. So thanks Shannon for the awesome sketch & the inspiration! See you at Heroes! Be back this Monday, March 11th for the next installment in the adventure! Don't miss a moment! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Thanks for reading! Take care!
