So the fantasy football season didn't end quite the way I hoped for me or my The Jimmy Valiant's team, but despite losing the championship game, I am overall happy w/finishing 2nd in the league & collecting five trophies along the way for various accomplishments. I have to consider it a successful season & I'm looking forward to taking the top spot next year! I have to congratulate my son Douglas, who won the championship in a different league that he was in w/some friends from school. He is this year's champion in that league & I couldn't be prouder of him! Way to go Douglas & your Tacos 131 team! Awesome job! Have a great time celebrating New Year's Eve & New Year's Day everyone! Be back this Monday, Jan. 2nd for the first Boogieland strip of the year! Thanks for reading! "I am behind my time. I was making rather merry yesterday." Not sure if that quote from the movie Scrooge starring Alastair Sim is exactly word for word, but I'm pretty sure it's at least close & it certainly applies in this case. I really was making very merry yesterday having an incredibly nice Christmas w/my family. I hope you did too! Another reason why it has taken me so long was wanting to do a special storyline for the new year but having a little writer's block trying to come up w/a good idea. Very special thanks to my son Douglas for coming up w/the idea for this storyline. Great job Douglas! Thanks so much! I hope you all enjoy this New Year's themed Boogieland storyline! Be back this Thursday for more! Happy New Year! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Merry Christmas! I hope you are having a nice day. I know the new Boogieland comics usually come out on Mon & Thursday, but today's strip continues a tradition of giving my mom Faye her own special Christmas comic strip on Christmas day. & yes, that no good Pecan Pirate is up to his old tricks again! Doesn't he ever take a vacation?! Merry Christmas Mom! I hope you enjoyed your special comic for Christmas! Thank you so much for all the great Christmas memories! I love you! As if Christmas wasn't going to be awesome enough already, it just got a little bit better! My fantasy football team, The Jimmy Valiants, are going to the league championship game! Granted, many of the NFL games are being played on Christmas Eve, but maybe those final game winning points will come on Christmas Day! Either way, it's fun to be competing in the big game! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas day! Merry Christmas! Be back this Monday for more Boogieland fun as a new storyline begins! Thanks for reading! I'm currently watching Ernest Saves Christmas w/my son, Douglas. We had two family Christmas parties over the weekend. One for my side of the family & one for my wife's side. It was a wonderful time. Douglas got the Ernest movie from my mom, Faye. Thanks Mom! Now our Christmas will be a little more wacky & a little more fun! I hope this Christmas-themed storyline has done the same for your Christmas season! Be back this Thursday for one more festive installment before the big day! Thanks for reading! PLAYOFFS BABY! Okay, so my The Jimmy Valiants fantasy football team didn't win the game this week which would have gauranteed a spot in the playoffs, but fortunately the other team that could have gone in instead of my team didn't win either, so here we are, playoff bound! Whew! That was a close one! The important thing is, now that The Jimmy Valiants are in the playoffs, we are only two wins away from the championship! Here's hoping I do a good job picking which players are going to do well in their games for the next two weeks. I'll keep you posted either way! Be back this Monday for more of the 'The Faye-Team' storyline! Thanks for reading! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Well, it was another tough loss for my The Jimmy Valiants fantasy football team this week. But it was a little easier to take because I lost to my son Douglas & his The OBJ Men team. The loss prevented me from clinching a playoff spot, but I'm still in 4th place in the league & my playoff hopes are still alive. Great game Douglas. I'm very proud of you for your victory, I just wish it wasn't against me! Be back this Monday for another exciting Boogieland comic strip! Thanks for reading! My son Douglas got an unexpected opportunity this weekend when his friend Nick invited him to be in the big Christmas Parade as part of his parent's float advertising their orthodondist business. It made me proud watching him walk the parade route greating the crowd lined along the streets & handing out info about his friend's family business. It was fun watching the rest of the parade as well & was a great way to celebrate the Christmas season! I hope you will feel the same about reading this Christmas-themed storyline. Be back this Thursday for the next exciting installment! Thanks for reading! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm.
