Had a great time this weekend on a road trip to Kentucky w/Boogie, Douglas & Moviestar for the big Boogie Nights show which was a great tribute to Jimmy Valiant. I hope to do a blog about that soon over on my Boogie fan blog so keep watching for that. You won't want to miss the first ever BWC Car Wash this Sat., July 5th at the Williamson Road Advance Auto in Roanoke, VA, starting at 9am. Boogie himself will be there & the BWC staff & students will be washing cars & greeting fans. Don't miss it! & also don't miss a new Boogieland or Bust comic strip this Thursday, July 3rd. I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Thanks for reading!

Another beautiful summer day! I'm w/out a car for most of the day, but it will be nice for Douglas & I to have to find fun things to do around here instead of going out. One fun thing to do is to read today's Boogieland comic strip! Be back this Monday, June 30th, for the last Boogieland strip of June! Enjoy your day! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Thanks for reading!
HEROES CON 2014: MINI-REPORT: Heroes Con in Charlotte, NC was a blast as always. It's hard to believe it was my 20th year in a row attending the event! I had a great time in the car there & back having some wonderfully fanboyish discussions w/my son Douglas, his friend Simon & my pals Jonathan, Moviestar & Aaron. It was great to see all the familiar faces of my Heroes Con family & it was also nice meeting some new con friends as well. I talked to a lot of people about Jimmy Valiant & my Boogieland comic, including a lady at a gas station before we even got to the convention! Douglas did a great job handing out his very first mini-comic. I'm so proud of him! My favorite purchase of the show was probably my Shannon Smith 'Boogiestorm' sketch which combined two of my all time favorite things: Jimmy Valiant & Firestorm! Can't beat that! You can see the awesome sketch below. I wish we would have had more than one day to enjoy the show but we packed a whole lot of fun in to our Sat. road trip & we got some great pictures including one that I've included below of my son Douglas in his Casey Jones costume going head to head w/a Stormtrooper. Can't wait til next year to do it all over again! Hope to see you all then at Heroes Con! In the mean time you can take part in the Boogieland fun w/a new comic strip every Monday & Thursday! Don't miss a single one! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Thanks for reading! Fellow Boogie Fan Shannon Smith's awesome 'Boogiestorm' artwork! Thanks Shannon! This Stormtrooper doesn't stand a chance against Casey Jones!
This is a big weekend for comic fans! Heroes Convention will take place this Fri., Sat., & Sun. in Charlotte, NC at the Charlotte Convention Center. This will be my 20th year in a row attending the event. Time & money constraints prevent me from going all three days, but I look forward to making the trip on Saturday w/my friends Jonathan & Moviestar, my son Douglas & his friend Simon. Should be a great trip! If you are at the show maybe I will run into you. Be sure to say hi if you see me! I will be promoting BWC & this comic strip w/business cards, a couple new mini-comics & a cool new Boogieland T-Shirt that my mom Faye made for me. Thanks Mom! Be back this Monday for a new strip & a report on how Heroes Con went this year. I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Thanks for reading!
I hope all the fathers out there had a really nice Father's Day yesterday. I had an excellent time celebrating the special day w/my son Douglas & all of our BWC Family at Boogie's Wrestling Camp! It was extra special seeing Boogie's daughter Robin again & her family Jenae, Eric & Jolene. Once we got home from BWC, Douglas & I played baseball, football, basketball, took a walk & watched a movie. What a fun, special day! Be back this Thursday as the Boogieland or Bust fun & excitement continues w/another new comic strip! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Thanks for reading!

It's official! My son Douglas is now out of school for summer vacation! We've already had a fun couple of days & we still have a long time to go. I'm sure it will go fast, but I'm looking forward to spending some quality father & son time making some great memories! The only problem is, I've misplaced the little cord that connects my camera to my computer, so I won't be able to share any great action shots from our summertime fun! Oh well, I'm sure it will show up soon & I will once again be cyber-plastering images of our adventures all over the internet! Speaking of adventures, be back this Thursday, June I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Hopefully we won't lose power, but if we do, at least I will have enough laptop battery to finish typing this quick message & post today's strip. I hope you enjoy it. If it is storming in your area, be safe. Be back this Monday, June 9th for the next exciting installment in the Breeding Contempt I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Former WWE champion Edge once talked about a match he had against former WWE tag team champion Jimmy Valiant in which they went for 20 minutes w/out really ever touching. Will a mind-controlled Jimmy Valiant be able to do the same against President Boogie in the year 2020 or will The Even Newer Breed (remember them?) get their way when both Boogies touch & instantly cease to exist? This question will be answered in the very next Boogieland comic strip this Thursday, June 5th as the Breeding Contempt storyline continues! Don't miss it! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Thanks for reading!
