Yesterday's Birthday Bash for Boogie & Angel at BWC was a complete blast! It was an honor to be at BWC for the special day & at the birthday dinner at K&W following camp. Well, I still won't accept the fact that summer is almost over, but I can't deny that football season is now officially here. Yesterday the NFL preseason began & today my son Douglas has his first day of football practice to begin his fourth football season. Interestingly, Rashad Jennings, who played for the Giants in yesterday's NFL game, once played for Forest Black, which was also Douglas' first team. Who knows what the future could hold for our #12! I've posted a picture below of both football stars together from a recent visit by Jennings to his former hometown. Sounds like the BWC Family have a lot more to go against than a tough defense or an explosive offense! We can only hope they come out w/the big W when the battle is over! It was a great day yesterday for a trip to the lake & I had a wonderful, relaxing time doing just that w/my family. My wife Gala was off from work, which made it feel like a Saturday, until of course reality checked in & I had to go to work that night. Oh well, it was sure fun while it lasted! Hello again! I hope you had a nice weekend. I had an amazingly fun weekend w/my family. First on Friday, my son Douglas, my wife Gala & my niece Lacey went to a Moonlight Swim at the pool. Then the three of us were joined on Sat. by my nephew Scottie, my brother Mike & his wife Stacy for an adventure at the Salem Fair. Then on Sunday, Douglas & I went to Family Fest at a local park & met NFL running back Rashad Jennings. Monday is starting off pretty cool also because I get to post this new Boogieland comic.
