It's always nice to see someone experience Boogie's Wrestling Camp for the first time. My son, Douglas, brought his friend, Robert, to camp yesterday for his first ever visit. Along w/my wife, Gala, & our dog, Poe, we all had a wonderful time! Robert bought one of Angel's awesome wrestling masks & wore it most of the day. He came up w/the character name Bloody Lemon Drop! You could tell Robert, aka Bloody Lemon Drop, had a blast watching the wrestlers train & visiting the historic camp buildings. Douglas has a huge collection of the AWW masks & every time he gets a new one, he creates a new character to go w/it. We have our own wrestling federation right in the living room! It was nice to see a good mix of familiar faces & new students yesterday at BWC. If this will be your first time or your 1,000th time, you really need to get to camp soon to experience the fun, exciting, loving atmosphere & the unique family bond that is BWC! & be back here this Thursday for the next installment in this new storyline! Thanks for reading! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Take care!

It was really nice spending a little time w/Boogie, Nightmare & Capt. Joe at Hopar's Cycles in Roanoke, VA this past Sat. I didn't have long to stay, but I made sure to make the most of my time. Even a short visit w/Boogie & the BWC Family is well worth the trip! Be sure to check out Boogie's upcoming appearances posted every Monday on the main page & news page of this site to see when he'll be coming to your town! You'll be glad you did! Well, today's strip wraps up our 'Hip-Hopera' storyline. Yes, the pun was intended! I hope you enjoyed this little change of pace experiment. Be sure to be back this Thurs. as an exciting new storyline begins! Thanks for reading! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. I was very sad to hear that Ivan Koloff has passed away. He used to really scare me when I was a little kid watching him on TV. His feud w/Jimmy Valiant was legendary! It was an honor to meet him & to get to spend a little time w/him at camp & at other appearances. My son Douglas' first ever wrestling show was the Springtime Bash Shawsville Fundraiser show in 2010 when Ivan came out of retirement to team w/Boogie against Shawn Christian & Mean Donnie Green. I'm so glad Douglas & I got to watch Ivan wrestle live in person. It was one of the most exciting matches I've ever watched, especially considering the history involved! & what an amazing finish! Thanks for all the great wrestling memories Ivan! The Russian Bear will live on forever in your classic matches & interviews & in the hearts of all the many people you impacted in a positive way during your life. Well, the Boogieland rap battle seems to be over, but we still don't know exactly who won. Be back this Thursday as we shed some light on the answer to that question! Thanks for reading! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Take care!
I mentioned last time that my son, Douglas, competed in the school spelling bee the other day. Out of about 40 students competing, Douglas finished in the top ten. Great job Douglas! I'm very proud of him for always working hard & doing his best not only in sports, but also in academics & in all aspects of life. Douglas is a great kid & I'm so thankful to be his Dad! Be back this Monday for another new Boogieland comic strip as the rap battle continues! Thanks for reading! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Take care!
My son, Douglas, competed in his class spelling bee recently. Out of a class of 18 students, the last five spellers remaining qualified for the school wide spelling bee. Douglas did a great job & was one of the five finalists to earn a spot in the big school-wide spelling bee! Way to go Douglas! I'm very proud of you! You are an excellent speller & a wonderful son! I love you, Douglas! I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day tomorrow! Be sure to spend time w/someone that you love! Be back this Thursday, as the Hip-Hopera continues & the big rap battle begins! Thanks for reading! I've always been a fan of rap music, so I've been wanting to do a rap musical or 'Hip-Hopera' Boogieland storyline for some time now. It's a Boogieland 'musical' done entirely in rhyme. Even if you aren't a fan of rap, I hope you'll still enjoy this little experiment. Be back this Thursday for more funky fresh rhymes in the next installment in the 'MC BWC, A Boogie Woogie Hip-Hopera' storyline! History was made in yesterday's Super Bowl in more ways than one. My Broncos weren't in it, so it didn't really matter to me who won. Hats off to the Pats for an epic, unprecedented comeback victory. Hopefully next year the Orange & Blue can bring it back to Denver! As far as my Playoff Challenge fantasy football team, The Jimmy Valiants, the final results are in! While I dropped significantly from my 7th place spot this week, I still finished 26th out of 108 teams, so I can certainly be happy w/a well above average finish. It has been fun. No more football, fantasy or otherwise until next season, but I know it will be here before you know it! & besides, the March Madness bracket is coming soon, so that will be another fun activity for me to take part in w/my son, Douglas. Thanks for reading! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Take care!
Happy Groundhog Day! I hung up my Groundhog stocking last night & I checked this morning & it was still empty. Maybe Groundhog Santa saw his shadow & left w/out giving me any presents. I guess there is actually not much you can do to celebrate Groundhog Day, but because I have a unique way of looking at things, I will probably celebrate by reading some old The Shadow comics. Not sure what effect that will have on the weather. I hope you enjoy your day! & if you are into football like me, enjoy the Super Bowl! Be back this Monday for the next Boogieland or Bust comic strip! Thanks for reading! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm.
