Free comic book day is this Sat.! I'm looking forward to stopping by my local comic shop to pick up a free comic! Hopefully I will have printed my own free Jimmy Valiant/Magnet Man comic for the special day, but I'm not sure if I will be able to make that happen or not. Thanks so much to everyone for the kind words re: my 1,000th comic strip! My mom, Faye, came to see me at work to celebrate & gave me an awesome scrapbook collecting printouts of the full 3 strip run of the 'Now We're Cooking' storyline that got us to 1,000 & my accompanying blurbs. My wife, Gala, & son, Douglas, got me a cake w/a Congrat's message on it for my 1,000 comic strip milestone. Plus there were all the likes, comments, emails & well wishes in general that really touched my heart. I appreciate each & every one of you for your kindness & also for taking the time to join me on this Boogieland adventure. I have to thank Boogie & Angel again for making it all possible, my mom, Faye for all she does behind the scenes for this site & this project. Thanks again so much to everyone for reading! I also consider today's 1,001 strip to be a big milestone, since I can now officially say I've done over 1,000 comics instead of just 1,000. Makes it sound like a lit more for some reason! :) Big M, Lil M & Moviestar will be appearing w/Jimmy Valiant himself today in Blacksburg VA, from 10am to 2pm at the University Mall in Blacksburg, VA at this year's Big NRV Con! Hope to see you there! So, as promised, I went back to the Mon, Thurs, Sat. schedule starting today but specifically for the sake of this new storyline, I am going back to daily comic strips for a little while. Welcome to one-thousand! I'm very proud to present Boogieland or Bust #1,000! I'm literally doing this for the thousandth time! This strip started many years ago w/a twice-weekly Mon. & Thurs. schedule. This was the norm until very recently when I added Sat. to the regular schedule. I've also had various stints where I've decided to go daily w/the strip on a limited basis. It's hard to believe we are here at #1,000. It seems like just yesterday when I published that first strip. It also seems like I've been doing this forever. Yesterday marked the last Boogieland strip to be numbered in triple digits w/#999. From here on it will be quadruple digits. Unless of course I make 10,000 some day. Not expecting that milestone, but I will sure take this one. It's an honor to publish the official Jimmy Valiant, Boogie's Wrestling Camp & BWC Family comic strip on a regular basis! It's a dream come true to get to make up wild, fun adventures for my all time favorite pro wrestler, Jimmy Valiant. Thank you so much to Boogie & Angel for allowing me the opportunity to publish this comic. It is a true honor & a great joy! Thanks so much to anyone who has ever read even a single Boogieland strip. If you've read one or one-thousand, thanks so much for reading! I'm so happy you took the time to join the Boogieland Family as we go on this fun, fantasy make-believe adventure together. Thank you to all the colorful, amazing, real life characters who have joined the fun by appearing in the Boogieland continuing journey. Six panels at a time! & especially, most of all, I want to thank my mom, Faye, for giving me life, raising me, always being there & of course for reading every single strip in this 1,000 & counting comic strip ride! So this was one of the daily storylines, but now that it is complete, I will be returning to the previous Sat., Mon. & Thurs. schedule. This means I have the day off to rest tomorrow, but I will be right back at it w/the beginning of a new storyline w/another milestone installment #1,001. You won't want to miss it! Happy 1,000 Eve! This is the last triple-digit numbered Boogieland comic strip I'll ever do! After today the numbering goes up to quadruple-digits! Hard to believe there have been 999 of them so far. That is quite a milestone in itself. But the big one I'm waiting for comes tomorrow w/#1,000. Can't wait! Be back tomorrow to help me celebrate the big Boogieland milestone! Don't miss it! Well, that brings the Magnet Man's Island storyline to a close & brings us one strip closer to the milestone Boogieland or Bust! #1,000. So, I know at one point I said I would be going back to the Mon., Thurs., Sat. schedule after this storyline concluded, but first I'm gonna let the daily comics roll for the remainder of the road to 1,000. That will take the form of a one-shot Easter story tomorrow, another one-shot strip on Mon., then a three part storyline starting on Tues. that will take us through to BOB #1,000 on Thurs. Unless of course my math is wrong. Which it could be, but I don't think it is. Thanks so much for reading!
