Boogieland or Bust! #473 - The Nightmare Factor, pt. 5

So I've never really advertised a set time of day for these comic strips to be posted on Mondays & Thursdays, but I usually aim for a lot earlier than this. A busy schedule today & some minor computer issues caused the delay in posting today's strip. Still, I am thankful I've been able to keep my bi-weekly schedule all this time w/out missing a single Mon. or Thurs. I'd like to welcome another new real life character to the strip today as American Assassin joins the fray! Thanks for being a part of the Boogieland fun AA! My son Douglas had Living History Day today at school & he was dressed up like the greek god of war, Ares. He picked Ares because he is in the Injustice video game. After the big presentation, I stayed & helped w/the Greek food tasting party. Yum! Then at recess, Douglas & I teamed up to take on all challengers in basketball! We made a great team as always & those 3rd graders were no match for my superior rebounding skills & our awesome father/son teamwork! :) It was a fun day! Today's strip introduces another new character, as promised. Witness the eerie debut of The Nightmare! Trust me, he's just as creepy in person! But just whose side is he on anyway? I had a great time this past Friday at Bojangles in Roanoke, VA, visiting w/Boogie & Angel & my BWC Family! You never know where Boogie might show up next, so keep an eye out for his upcoming appearances! I had a lot of fun last night watching my nephew's band Jenny & The B Side Rockers as they rocked the house! Another Valiant Cup show has come & gone & this one was another complete success. My personal bodyguard, Magnet Man, had the extreme honor to actually be a part of this year's big battle royal as a manager! MM as attended the historic event for years as a fan/BWC Staff Member, but this was his first chance to be backstage for the big night & to walk through the curtain w/a host of talented pro wrestlers. I know he considered the experience a privilege & an honor that he will always remember! Be back on Monday when we will conclude the current 'Street Animals' storyline. you won't want to miss it! When I made my very first trip to Boogie's Wrestling Camp, way back in January of 2005, I was amazed at all the cool things on display to look at. One of my favorite items was the big wooden statue of Micky Valiant. It was fun to imagine what a talking rodent member of the Valiant family might be like. Sadly, the Micky Valiant statue fell victim to time & the elements & had to be removed. When I found out Micky was gone, I got the idea of doing an ongoing Micky Valiant comic strip to keep his memory alive in some small way. For various reasons, I ended up doing this Boogieland strip instead, but MV was still supposed to be a recurring character throughout the series. Somehow I never got around to including him, until today. So today's strip is extra special to me because it features the years in the making debut of Micky Valiant!
