 NRCC COMIC CON REPORT: I'm happy to announce that the NRCC Comic Con 4 was another complete success. It's a real honor to be a part of such a top notch show. Boogie, Capt. Joe, Lil' M & myself had perfect weather for a beautiful drive to the big show. It was wondeful to see several members of the BWC Family at the con. We also saw some familiar faces that we usually see at other shows, & of course as always, our awesome NRCC Comic Con family & all the new friends we got to meet for the first time. Hats off to the NRCC Comic Con staff who did an excellent job keeping everything running smoothly & taking great care of us! Thanks so much guys! & thank you so much to everyone who stopped by our tables to support us or just to say hi. It is greatly appreciated! Can't wait until next year! It's been a little while since I mentioned my The Jimmy Valiants fantasy football team. I'm pleased to announce that my guys have fought their way to a winning record! The Jimmy Valiants are currently 4-3 after seven fantasy weeks! This week we have the lead in a close one w/tonight's game to decide who pulls out the victory. I'll let you know if the winning record continues. Douglas & I had an awesome time at my co-worker & pal Duncan's Halloween Party yesterday. We were dressed as Batman & Joker as BFFs. I was Batman wearing a Joker shirt & he was Joker wearing a Batman shirt. We also had matching Joker socks! Check out the pic below to see our cool together costume.  It was a beautiful day at camp yesterday & I had a blast as always spending time w/Boogie & Angel & the BWC Family. It was an extra awesome visit to camp because I got to pick up my super cool new Angel's Wrestling Wear mask made by Angel herself for my Halloween costume this year! Thanks, Angel, for doing an amazing job on the mask as always! This Sunday will also be extra special because a movie crew will be filming part of a movie on site at BWC!  Happy Anniversary to my mom, Faye & her husband, Pee Wee! I'll never forget running through the Super Chevy Show grounds to make it to your ceremony on time! I'm so glad that you two have such a happy marriage! Enjoy your anniversary day! Congrats to my son, Douglas & his teammates for a big 7-0 win in soccer the other day! Douglas did an amazing job! He was striker in the first half & goalie in the second half. He made the team's first goal of the game in the first 20 seconds & got the very last stop to secure the shutout right before the whistle blew! Great game team! Way to go Douglas!  I just made a discovery that should help me stay fit while doing something I love to do. At the YMCA down the street from my house, you have to be like 15 years old or so to go into the 'Wellness Center' section where they have all the treadmills & weights & stuff like that. My 12 year old son Douglas found out you can take a certification course to be allowed to use all that stuff early, so he jumped at the chance. Today was the first day he was officially eligible to go work out in the Wellness Center, so of course, that's exactly what we did. It had been a while since I tried the treadmills at the Y but I was pleasantly surprised to see that the machines had been upgraded since last time I made use of them. The treadmills now have big screens on them where you can watch YouTube videos. Of course I searched my favorite Jimmy Valiant videos & had a nice hour long workout watching classic Boogie footage the whole time! Now that I've made this awesome discovery, I plan to go w/Douglas a lot more to work out while taking a stroll (pun intended) down memory lane w/all the awesome Jimmy Valiant matches to be found online!  It's not usually cheap for my wife Gala, my son Douglas & I to go out to eat at a restaurant. We don't really go out that much, but every once in a while for a treat, or if we have something to celebrate, we'll go somewhere for an evening out. Just the other night we went to a new restaurant right down the street from our house. We had a nice time together & when they brought the ticket, my 12 year old son, Douglas, took out his wallet & surprised us by paying for dinner. He has always been a very generous, giving person. I am very proud of what a thoughtful, awesome young man he is becoming. Thanks so much Douglas! You are an awesome son! I love you!  Yesterday was our dog Poe's 3rd birthday. We took her to the dog park & then to the pet store. We bought her a new Chewbacca toy, a ball & some treats. She seemed to have a wonderful day! Yesterday was also the 1st day of October, so to me that's not at all too early to start celebrating the Halloween season! Today's installment in the Boogieland saga was originally going to begin a new Halloween-themed storyline. But when I realized it was #720 I was inspired to do a quick, one-shot story in homage to a video game I used to love to play at the arcade when I was younger. It was the skating game, 720, w/it's skateboard tricks & swarm of killer bees! I was never very good at it, but the idea of a skateboard video game was super cool to me at the time! I named the story 'SK8 or Die!' after the warning the game gave you if the killer bees got too close. & again, since I am in full Halloween mode for the rest of the month, I had to put a Halloween spin on it.
