Well, it's hard to believe this is the last strip for the month of July. It's getting very late as I type this, or very early depending on how you look at it. & I'm getting very tired. It doesn't always take this long for me to get a Boogieland comic strip posted, but tonight I've been distracted by watching Jimmy Valiant matches & Shark Boy matches. Not a bad problem to have, but I wonder if any of this will make any sense when I read it tomorrow. Not that a man vs clone confrontation on a far away planet is likely to make a lot of sense anyway. Tomorrow is a very special occasion for me. It's my nephew Scottie Brodie's 20th birthday. Scottie is the first person that I held on the first day they were born. For many years, my wife Gala & I would pick up Scottie once a week & do something fun w/him. He still comes over from time to time to spend a night or two w/us. It was hard to believe when Scottie turned 13 & was officially a teenager. It was also hard to believe when he turned 18 & was officially an adult. Now he is turning 20 which means the official end of his teenage years. I'm very proud of the man that Scottie has become & I am so thankful to be his uncle. I can't wait to see what his future holds. Thank you Scottie for 20 fun years of being Uncle Brien! Happy Birthday Eve! Just finished watching Shark Boy vs Super Parka w/Douglas & Moviestar. Now we are watching a Justice League cartoon. I had a great time yesterday at the Salem Fair w/my son Douglas & my brother Mike. Douglas rode lots of rides & fed lots of animals & we all ate some yummy fair food. We also happened to see BWC Graduate Dan Da Man, who has appeared many times in the Boogieland comic strip. Great seeing you again, Dan! I hope you had a nice Fourth of July Weekend! I certainly did! On Thursday, we went to the baseball game followed by fireworks. Then on Friday it was back to the baseball stadium to meet George 'The Animal' Steele which was very cool. Saturday was an awesome road trip w/Boogie, Moviestar & my son Douglas. We went to Kentucky where Boogie wrestled at a show that also featured Douglas' favorite wrestler, Sharkboy! Douglas was thrilled to meet his wrestling hero. Sharkboy was a super nice guy & it was a pleasure & an honor to meet him. Sunday was a day of rest at the pool. Well, that is until I had to go in to work. But you have to come back to reality sometime. I'm so thankful for the fun time I had celebrating our country & our freedom w/family & friends. Independence Day may have passed, but the fireworks in the Planet James storyline are just getting started! Be back this Thursday, July 11th for even more excitement!
