The big weekend is almost here! On Sat., May 4th, at the Elkin National Guard Armory in Elkin, NC, the prestigious Valiant Cup will be up for grabs in a special battle royal! Then, on Sun., May 5th, from Noon to 4pm at BWC in Shawsville, VA, join in the celebration of Jimmy Valiant's 49th anniversary in pro wrestling! The event will feature special guest stars George South & "Pretty Boy" Stan Lee & will be filmed for an upcoming DVD release! Well, this was a long, fun & exciting adventure, but the Deep City Rising Saga has almost reached it's conclusion. This particular installment of the storyline was inspired by an interview Boogie did back in the 80s in which he told the story of how he & Superstar Billy Graham picked up a couple of dates w/only a three-wheeler to get them where they needed to go. It's great the way he tells it & I just had to incorporate the story into the Boogieland strip somewhere. Be back this Monday, April 15th to see if our heroes are able to make it safely back to shore or if they are claimed by a watery grave in the final installment in the Deep City Rising saga! Well, I won't spoil anything for anyone who missed Wrestlemania last night, but I will say I had a great time watching it w/Moviestar & Douglas! We had an awesome Wrestlemania Party! It was a good show this year in my opinion, but I will still always like Starrcade better! The best part of the day yesterday was going to BWC w/Douglas for some Boogiemania! Boogiemania runs wild every Sunday from 12 to 4 at Boogie's Wrestling Camp & it's always a thrill to be a part of it! It also runs wild every Monday & Thursday right here in the Boogieland or Bust comic strip! Be back this Thursday, April 11th, to see if our heroes will be able to keep their heads above water!
