Happy Halloween Everyone! The big day is finally here! I hope you all have a fun, safe night! I'm really looking forward to it! After today, the next big event will be the unveiling of the new, improved Boogie Buggy which has a mysterious new look that will be revealed this Sun., Nov. 3rd, at 1:30pm sharp at BWC in Shawsville, VA! Another exciting announcement is, the daily strips are going to continue at least for a little while longer as the next story line will also have new strips every day! Years ago, I did a special surprise comic for my mom, Faye, on Christmas day which had her saving Christmas. It was a surprise present for her. I've continued to have her save Christmas in one form or another every year, but since she now expects it, it's become more of a tradition than a surprise. This Sunday at BWC, noon to 4pm, will be an exciting day & an event not to be missed as the new, improved Boogie Buggy, now known officially as the Boogie Woogie Machine will be unveiled for the first time since being remodeled by Roy Houchins, whose son, Nathan, is an up & coming wrestling star currently training at BWC! As promised, here is my NRCC Comic Con report. From the time Douglas & I left our house for the show until the time we got back, it was a wonderful day. The scenery was amazing as the leaves seemed to be at the peak time of changing to all the beautiful autumn colors. This was my fourth year in a row attending the con in its six years of existence & this was probably the best one yet! I love the family atmosphere & the friendly, welcoming & helpful NRCC Comic Con Staff. It is always nice seeing familiar faces as well as meeting new friends each year. A big thanks to everyone who stopped by the BWC tables at the show. We really appreciate the support! Great to have several BWC Family members stop by to say hi. Some really great costumes as usual. Some of my favorites were Magnum PI, Gomez & Morticia Addams, the Emperor & Princess Leia, Jack Sparrow (who might actually be the real Jack Sparrow & not a cosplayer at all), & a really good Pennywise. Picked up some nice reading material from the quarter & 50 cent boxes. & of course had to pick up some new items off of Boogie's table. You can never have too many Jimmy Valiant souvenirs! Tomorrow is the big day! Boogie, Lil' M & Big M will be set up at the New River Community College Comic Con in Dublin, VA, tomorrow, Sat. 10/26. The show will run from 10am to 4pm. Big M will have a brand new mini-comic, Lil' M will also have something new since last year & of course Boogie will have some great souvenirs that you will want to pick up. It's gonna be a great day! I remember being a kid & watching NWA, WWF, UWF, ICW & AWA on TV at various different times throughout the week. It was a good time to be a wrestling fan. These days I enjoy watching NWA, AEW, WWE, & ROH. Might seek out some Impact wrestling to see what's going on w/that lately, but haven't really watched it since the good old TNA days. Watched every single episode of Lucha Underground & really miss it. Would love to see a revival of some type. & nothing beats the experience of a good, live Indy show. Especially if Jimmy Valiant happens to be wrestling! There's great wrestling action all over the place these days, especially if you take the time to seek it out.
