So the NCAA March Madness Bracket Challenge is almost over & my The Jimmy Valiants bracket really isn't doing too bad. I'm currently in the 83rd percentile of all brackets in the Challenge. I am 322,239th out of millions of brackets. So, ha, take that all the millions of people in this world who aren't as good as me at randomly picking winners of college basketball games! Even though we are now at the Final Four, I still have the possibility of going up or down, so I will be sure to give a final report once someone has won the championship. In other sports news, Douglas plays his first lacrosse game of the school season today. Go Douglas & teammates! Lacrosse well! Be safe! I will be cheering from the sidelines as always! Proud of my boy! Be back this Monday for more Boogieland fun! Thanks for reading! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Take care!

It's still so hard to believe & so hard to accept the fact that our BWC brother Noah Lawrence has passed away at just 16 years old. I'm so thankful for my BWC Family. I'm so proud of the way we all came together yesterday at Noah's memorial ceremony at BWC. I was honored that Boogie asked me to pray during our special celebration for Noah. We will all take comfort in the many great memories of Noah that were shared yesterday. We will never forget the touching moments. I am so amazed & impressed w/the level of strength & courage Nightmare & Kat showed in dealing w/the loss of their beloved son. Today was a beautiful day for Noah's graveside service & it was nice to see the BWC Family represented there as well. I couldn't possibly express just how much Noah will be missed by all who were blessed to know him. Thank you Noah for your smile, your inspiration, your example of how to live a life well. Come any Sunday to see for yourself the camp that Noah loved so much. His blood, sweat & tears will always be a part of the ring, his memory will always be in our hearts & his smile & his character will always be a part of who we are as a family. Come to Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Thank you so much for reading! Take care! Thank you so much to BWC Staff Photographer Janice Coffman for taking these special photos of Noah's 10-Bell Memorial Ceremony at BWC.
It's hard to find the right words to say at a time like this. I am deeply saddened & my heart is heavy. My heart has broken in two for my BWC brother & sister Nightmare & Jersey Kat as they have lost their son, Noah. We have all lost our brother. He is gone on to a better place, but we will sure miss having him here w/us. Noah was a shining star at Boogie's Wrestling Camp. It was amazing to watch him perform in the ring. He gave his all to give the fans the best possible match. & it was inspiring to watch how he never gave up even if he got a little banged up while training at BWC or wrestling in a match. My son, Douglas, really looked up to Noah, almost like the older brother he never had. Douglas would always cheer for Noah in his matches. & Noah was always a positive example for Douglas to look up to. While they didn't get to spend that much time together, Douglas will always be influenced in a positive way by Noah's refusal to give up & by the hard work he put into making his dreams come true. Thank you for being such an awesome person, Noah. We love you & miss you! Noah lives his dream in the ring as a pro wrestler in the Valiant Cup 2016!
I'm very sad to have to report that my BWC brother, Noah Lawrence, has taken a turn for the worse. He is currently on life support & his scheduled surgery has been cancelled. There is still hope, but it is slim at this point. Please keep Noah in your thoughts & prayers as he needs them now more than ever. Thank you. Thanks for reading today's comic. My BWC brother, Nightmare, has informed me that his son Noah will definitely be requiring heart surgery. The UVA medical team needs to wait until he is healthy enough for the procedure. Once Noah recovers, we have hope that he will be healthier than ever. Please continue to keep Noah & his family in your thoughts & prayers. Well, NFL Fantasy Football may be a distant memory, but I've found another way to bring my The Jimmy Valiants team back to life. I'm doing the March Madness Bracket Challenge w/my son, Douglas, & I named one of my brackets The Jimmy Valiants! I'll be sure to update you on my progress w/that one! Be back this Monday for more Boogieland fun! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. No major news to report in our BWC brother Noah Lawrence's condition as he continues to battle a serious illness. We will consider no news to be good news in this case as Noah is getting the best care possible. I will be sure to keep you all up to date on how he's doing. Please continue to keep Noah & his family in your thoughts & prayers during this difficult time. It's a great honor to welcome Jon-Paul LeBlanc from 4 Corner Photography & Koby Rutland, CEO of Bodyslam Media Productions to the Boogieland comic strip family. It was really nice meeting Jon-Paul & Koby at BWC not long ago & I was happy to include them in the Boogieland fun. Thanks guys for being patient while I fit you into the story! I'd like to start this blurb w/a special shout-out to BWC Family member Noah to get well really soon! Whatever is ailing you, brother, I know you will kick it, just like you do to all your opponents in the ring! Feel better! Tomorrow is a special day for me personally as it marks the one year anniversary of my decision to eat better, exercise more & finally lose all the weight I really needed to lose for so long. I finally hit the goal I set for myself of weighing 179 lbs & now I have been maintaining for the past two months. I lost a total of 93 lbs. I feel so much better now! I'm very thankful for all the encouragement I received throughout the process of losing the weight. I'm determined to keep it off & stay healthy. Be back this Thursday for the next installment in the current 'From Shawsville W/Love' storyline! I know that's not easy to do, but I know I have a lot of support which inspires me to make it happen. I've been a fan of Angel's Wrestling Wear since the very first day I met Boogie in person. He was at a BWF show in Rustburg, VA & I walked in w/enough money to buy one of every kind of souvenir he had for sale at his table. One of the items he had to sell was a black & red AWW mask. I went home & proudly displayed the mask w/my other, newly acquired Boogie merchandise. Since then I have bought countless mask from Angel's Wrestling Wear & each one is a unique & wonderful work of art. I have marveled at the countless costumes she has created for the BWC students. She truly is capable of bringing to life even the most elaborate outfit you can dream up. So it's an honor & a lot of fun to be able to make Angel's Wrestling Wear the main focus of this new Boogieland storyline. I hope you enjoy it! Be back this Monday for the next installment! & be sure to check out Angel's official AWW website to order your own custom gear! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Take care!
