 We are getting a new microwave today! The old one broke a long time ago, so I really have mixed feelings about the new one being delivered. When it first broke I didn't know how we could possibly live w/out it. Now that it's been a really long time w/out one I barely even miss it. Still, it will be interesting to see how much I use it once we get it installed today. My wife, Gala, is very excited. Not really sure what my son, Douglas, thinks about the new arrival.  The Boogie Woogie BWC Birthday Bash is almost here!  Merry Christmas in July! I thought about doing an extra Christmas in July comic strip to celebrate today, but I kind of ran out of time, plus basically decided against it anyway.  The comics community suffered a terrible loss over the weekend w/the passing of super talented creator, Sam Gafford. It was an honor to get to know Sam as a fellow member of the Blue Plaque Publications small press co-op. Sam's publications brought me endless enjoyment. Thanks for the BPP memories Sam & for all the great books that will carry your great legacy. I'm very sad to lose my BPP brother. You will be missed! I had a really nice visit w/my brother, Mike, on Saturday. We went to two comic/toy shops & had lunch at a Mexican restaurant nearby. I picked up a sick Vampiro figure & had to also grab a Matt Striker figure just so I'd have the full Lucha Underground commentary team!  Happy Anniversary of the Moon Landing! I'll probably celebrate by doing something space related today. Not sure what. Maybe watch Star Wars or something. Or possibly eat some cheese, since I hear that's what the moon is made of! It was an amazing accomplishment then & it's amazing to think of all that we have accomplished since that time.  Had the day off yesterday. After just recently finishing my 9 day vacation it admittedly seemed like a blink, but still anytime when you can take a moment to enjoy some free time isn't a bad thing. It was extra nice because I got to pick Douglas up from summer camp today. It was only a four day camp, but still long enough to miss my boy! Ate some Japanese food a little too late at night & then watched some Lucha Underground. Overall a good day! Hope your day is good today!
