Well, that officially wraps up the 50-part 'Elemental Magnet Man' storyline. I really hope you enjoyed it! That also brings an end to Boogieland comics being published on Saturdays. Starting this Mon. I will officially go back to the original Mon. & Thurs. schedule. It's been nice having an extra day, but that has run its course & I'm happy to be back to a twice-weekly schedule. A week from tomorrow marks the biggest day of the year at BWC as it is the annual Graduation Ceremony, Sunday, Sept. 8th, Noon to 4pm at Boogie's Wrestling Camp in beautiful Shawsville, VA! The Elemental Magnet Man Saga has almost reached its end. One more strip this Sat. to close things out, then it's on to a new storyline on Monday. W/the end of this storyline also comes a change to the publishing schedule. After this coming Sat. I will go back to the original Mon. & Thurs. schedule. Doing Sat. strips was a fun experiment & worked out fine while it lasted, but I've decided twice a week is plenty, so Mon. & Thurs. it will be! So enjoy this last Sat. strip to close out the 'Elemental Magnet Man' storyline then be back Mon. for the start of a new advanture that will be brought to you only on Mondays & Thursdays! Today is a very special day for me. It is the 14th anniversary of the birth of my wonderful son, Douglas! Every day as Douglas' father has been a true blessing, an honor, a joy & a privilege. It was an amazing experience holding my child for the first time all those years ago. It has been wonderful raising Douglas w/my wife, Gala. I'm very proud of the fine young man he is becoming. It is appropriate that Douglas aka Lil' M appears in the comic today. If you go back & read his dialogue, you'll see I couldn't resist giving him a 'present' on his birthday! Because, yes, that's how my mind works. Happy 14th Birthday, Douglas! You rock! I love you! Thanks for reading today's comic & this special birthday blurb! I think it's all kinds of cool that Jimmy Valiant had his very own wrestling super card named after him & centered around his feud w/Paul Jones & the Assassins. Of course I'm referring to the historic wrestling event, Boogie Jam '84! I also think it's super awesome that WWE Network has just added this special night of wrestling filled w/all the top NWA stars of the day to it's available programming. Douglas went back to school yesterday, so I guess that means summer is basically over for us even if the calendar is still holding on a little longer. That's okay though, because I enjoy the fall season quite a bit as well. Winter isn't my favorite, but I really enjoy the Christmas season, so it's a trade-off I suppose. I hope any last minute summer plans you have are lots of fun. Judging by the temperature outside where we live there's still time for Douglas, Gala & me to enjoy some fun in the sun when Douglas isn't hitting the books! Had an awesome road trip to WV/MD w/Douglas, Boogie, & Capt. Joe! Met Gangrel, so that was really cool! Got to see Boogie wrestle live in person yet again. That will never get old! I still remember how thrilling it was watching my first ever live Boogie match & seeing him & Bruiser Graham take the BWF Tag Championship Belts from Body Count in Rustburg, VA at Rustburg Rumble I! Happy to watch him get another big W in WV! Big thanks to the entire WDWA crew for having us at your wonderful wrestling show! Thanks for reading!
