Boogieland or Bust! #873 - The Octoberpus Saga (An October-length Halloween story), pt. 2910/29/2018 I had a wonderful time, as always, at my annual family Halloween get together. Usually we celebrate my birthday on the same day as the Halloween party, but since we hadn't gotten around to officially doing a family get together for my son, Douglas, we decided to include his birthday instead. We ended up including my birthday after all, so we celebrated all three at once! I debuted my Halloween costume on Sat. at the NRCC Comic Con & then wore the same costume to the big Halloween party. For many years now I've had a theme of dressing up like a pro wrestler. Specifically one who has competed against or along side Jimmy Valiant. This year is extra-special since I was inspired to dress up like Chris Champion as a tribute after his untimely passing. I thankfully had the honor of meeting Chris in person not long before he passed. As a huge New Breed fan, meeting Chris Champion was obviously a thrill for me. I specifically modeled my costume as closely as I could to what Chris was wearing the day I met him. I've included below a picture of Chris that night w/Douglas, Boogie & Big M & then a picture of me in my costume w/Boogie taken by Douglas. I had fun w/my costume by playing the famous New Breed Fight For Your Right To Party theme music & emulating Chris as best I could for my family. I pretended to be coming back in time from the year 2002 which was humorous at the party because that date has now long since passed! It was an honor to pay tribute to one of my favorites in that small way. I plan to bring my Chris costume back again on Halloween night. Thanks for reading! Be back tomorrow for more! Boogieland or Bust! #867 - The Octoberpus Saga (An October-length Halloween story), pt. 2310/23/2018 Had a blast at the AWE show on Sat. It was great seeing several BWC Family members there. I got to meet some true legends & top wrestling stars like Sting, The Boogeyman, Hurricane, Mil Muertes, Tony Schiavone, Bill Apter, Scott Steiner, Cortez Castro, & more! I'm a huge Lucha Underground fan & Mil Muertes is one of my favorites, so it was a thrill to meet him in person, get an autographed Mil Muertes comic, take a picture w/him & also watch him wrestle live! Well, dead, or whatever. It was awesome! Meeting Sting was an understandably quick process of getting everyone through, but it is cool to say I got to meet him & tell him I'm a big fan. The Boogeyman was super creepy but seemed to be having a great time & was super friendly to the fans. What a great experience to share w/my son, Douglas. Thanks AWE for an incredibly awesome time! It think it's so cool that a true wrestling legend, icon & WWE Hall of Famer, Jimmy Valiant, is available to meet, talk to & hang out w/no admission charge, every Sunday, Noon to 4pm. I know that sounds like a commercial for camp, but I am sincerely thankful for every opportunity I get to spend w/Boogie & Angel, my dear friends & BWC Family for life! I don't take a single second of that time for granted & I never will! I'm so thankful for my entire BWC Family! Thanks for reading! Be back tomorrow for more! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Take care!
Boogieland or Bust! #866 - The Octoberpus Saga (An October-length Halloween Story), pt. 2210/22/2018 Really tired again after another road trip today so once again I won't give any specific info on just how awesome the AWE show was, but hopefully more of a report soon. Today's big trip was to my home away from home, Boogie's Wrestling Camp! Always a pleasure spending time w/Boogie, Angel & the BWC Family! Thanks for reading! Be back tomorrow for more! I highly recommend a visit to the real Boogieland in person this Sunday or any Sunday, from 12 noon to 4pm. Admission is free! Click HERE for more info. Take care!
