(ELD) Happy Birthday Eve to my pal & sometimes bodyguard, Magnet Man aka Big M. It's an honor to share a birthday w/you dude! I also have great memories of sharing a birthday w/my Aunt Lois. She was such a wonderful person. I always loved talking to her. Also, while it wasn't the exact same day, I can still remember sharing a birthday party w/her brother Preston, my grandfather, who we called PaPa. He was a great man. Even though he passed away when I was fairly young, I'm thankful that I still have fond memories of sitting in his lap, talking to him, celebrating different holidays & special events & just going to eat & visit on a Sunday afternoon. (TLAL) Another milestone reached for the Boogieland or Bust comic strip! It seems slightly strange to celebrate reaching another hundred strips after celebrating reaching one-thousand, but i'm still happy for the accomplishment. I hope you have all enjoyed all 1,100 strips & if you haven't read all of them yet, I highly recommend going back & checking out the archives. As far as fantasy football goes, this week was a perfect example that real life is way more important than who gets you more points in your fantasy game. Here's wishing Emmanuel Sanders a quick recovery from the injury he suffered in last night's game. I haven't done the math, but I'm thinking My The Jimmy Valiants team are pretty much eliminated from any chance of making my fantasy league playoffs after a tough loss this week. So here's where things stand for my The Jimmy Valiants fantasy football team. We are currently down by a little less than 6 points. My team & my opponent both have one player left to play tonight. They have a kicker & I have a wide receiver. The wide receiver will usually win that battle, but certainly not always. Especially considering they are up by almost 6 points, so if I do win it will be a big comeback. I'm technically projected to win by less than one point, which shows how close it's supposed to be. Well, my opponent in fantasy football this week had one player play last night. I didn't have anyone in last night's game. So they are currently leading, but I'm still technically projected to win. Projections often don't mean much in fantasy football though. & the team I'm playing against has one of the highest scoring players this season on their roster in Christian McCaffrey. McCaffrey is the son of one of my all time favorite players, Broncos great Ed McCaffrey. Christian is super talented like his dad! Hopefully he won't be but so productive in this week's game, so I'll have a chance to win in my fantasy match-up! I'll keep you posted! Be back tomorrow for another Boogieland strip! Had a nice day off of work yesterday, should have gotten more done, but at least I'm well rested now. So after a long downward slide, my The Jimmy Valiants fantasy football team have taken a turn in the right direction toward clawing back out of the hole they are currently in. A big win this week leads to disappointing 4-5 record, but definitely something to build upon & there is certainly still time in the season to do just that. Time will tell. I'll keep you posted! The Boogie Buggy 2.0 has arrived & it is amazing! Ray, Nathan & their family who worked on the project together did an incredible, outstanding job! It was very thoughtful & very cool!
