I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I certainly did. It was a wonderful time spent w/loved ones! I celebrated in my traditional ways of eating lots of yummy food, playing football, watching football, watching pro wrestling including Starrcade & Survivor Series & also remembering all the ways I am blessed in my life. It was really nice getting to see Boogie & some of the other BWC Family over the weekend. My fantasy football team improved to 10-1 last week & it's looking good for a possible victory this week too, but the game could still go either way so I have to wait until next week to tell you how that ends up. Very sad that David Prowse died yesterday. Among many other roles, Prowse was famous for playing Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy. I was fortunate enough to meet him once at Heroes Con in Charlotte, NC. He was very nice & happy to talk to his many fans. I really enjoyed attending his panel at the con that year. He will be missed but he will always live on in the iconic image he helped to create. RIP David Prowse. Now that Thanksgiving is over I'm super excited to celebrate the Christmas season! But I hope you enjoyed one more taste (pun intended) of Thanksgiving today w/this Belated Thanksgiving story. Be back next Monday as the Christmas storyline begins! Thanks for reading! Take care!

Boogieland Below! #50 - Micky Valiant Meets Frankenstein's What?! (A Halloween Adventure), pt. 1311/23/2020 Really getting excited about Thanksgiving! The big day is almost here! I've been watching Starrcade as part of my traditional celebration, & I watched parts of the 2020 Survivor Series show last night for the same reason. Sad to see The Undertaker retire, but a fitting send off. Thank you Taker! Also watched A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving w/Douglas. I'm super excited about the big day itself. The Macy's Parade, the football games, the food, & of course being thankful for all the things I'm blessed w/in my life. Spending time w/family & friends is always an important part of any holiday. I'm getting all excited just thinking about it & I'm thankful it is almost here! Speaking of football, after losing my first Fantasy Football game of the season to my son, Douglas' team last week, I have a chance to bounce back & get back on a winning streak. A little to close to call w/one game left tonight to decide the winner in my game this week, but I'm hoping The Jimmy Valiants can pull out a big win! I'll give the report next week! Be back next week to for a new Boogieland comic strip & a new story now that this Halloween one is done. Have a wonderful, happy Thanksgiving! Thanks for reading! Take care.
Boogieland Below! #49 - Micky Valiant Meets Frankenstein's What?! (A Halloween Adventure), pt. 1211/16/2020 I had a wonderful birthday weekend! It was so nice celebrating my special day w/my family & friends who mean so much to me! Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday in some way! Well, the streak has come to an end. This week of Fantasy Football doesn't end officially until after today's games but my opponent & I have played all of our players already & for the first time this season I have been outscored. The silver lining of that is it was my son, Douglas, who got the victory, so while it's disappointing to finally have a long streak ended, it's great that Douglas got to be the one to end it. I always cheer for him over myself anyway, so I'm happy he got the distinction of beating the unbeaten team. The other silver lining is I'm still in first place in our league! Hopefully I can get back to my winning ways & finish strong in these final games. I'll keep you posted! Be back next Monday for more Boogieland! Thanks for reading! Take care.
Boogieland Below! #48 - Micky Valiant Meets Frankenstein's What?! (A Halloween Adventure), pt. 1111/9/2020 It was a beautiful day yesterday weather wise in my area! I was fortunate enough to spend lots of quality time outside w/my family. That was really nice! So after last week's blurb, my fantasy football team, The Jimmy Valiants, improved to 8-0! Still undefeated! This weeks games aren't officially over until after the Monday night game, but my opponent & myself have both already used all our players so once the week is officially done my record is guaranteed to improve to 9-0! Pretty awesome! It's kinda funny because my next opponent, The Barbarians, is my son Douglas' team. Our teams played in week one & I got the victory, so Douglas is not only looking for a little payback, I'm sure he's wanting to end my streak too! Time will tell! I'll keep you posted! Be back this Monday for more Boogieland! Thanks for reading! Take care.
Boogieland Below! #47 - Micky Valiant Meets Frankenstein's What?! (A Halloween Adventure), pt. 1011/2/2020 Happy Belated Halloween! I hope everyone had a spooky, safe & fun Halloween! I sure did! & the Halloween fun continues today & beyond as this Halloween-themed storyline continues! I'm pleased to report that since the last post my The Jimmy Valiants fantasy football team has improved to 7-0 & still sits in first place a top my league! I'll be sure to keep reporting as the season goes on. Be back next Monday for more Boogieland Below! Thanks for reading! Take care.
Boogieland Below #46 - Micky Valiant Meets Frankenstein's What?! (A Halloween Adventure), pt. 910/26/2020 Another great weekend & productive week last week! Halloween is almost here! It's hard to believe that the big day will be this Sat.! I hope you all have a wonderful & safe Halloween! Dress up like something spooky & eat some candy! Watch a scary movie or whatever you like to do to celebrate! Enjoy it! & be back next Monday when the Halloween fun will continue because this Halloween-themed storyline isn't done yet!! Speaking of spooky fun, I picked up a great Frankenstein book all about the history of the character from the original story through the movies & more! Thanks to Moviestar for suggesting it to me! I'm happy to report that my The Jimmy Valiants Fantasy Football team is still undefeated w/a record of 6-0 & still #1 in my league! This is the most success I've ever had playing Fantasy Football in all the years Douglas & I have played, but win or lose I've always had fun playing it. I'll be sure to keep you posted as the season goes on! For now enjoy the Halloween season while it lasts! Thanks for reading! Take care.
Boogieland Below! #45 - Micky Valiant Meets Frankenstein's What?! (A Halloween Adventure), pt. 810/19/2020 It was very nice spending time w/my friend Boogie at FYE on Saturday as part of his Farewell Tour appearance schedule. What made it extra nice was that he had his daughters, Robin & Dana, w/him & I had my son, Douglas, w/me. It was also great seeing Capt. Joe, Nightmare & Kat again. Our friend & BWC Family Member, Moviestar, made the trip w/me & Douglas so that made it even more awesome! & my brother Mike stopped by too to make it extra special! It was a wonderful visit w/family & friends! Can't wait to do it again! Be back next Monday for another Boogieland Below comic strip! Thanks for reading! Take care.
Boogieland Below! #44 - Micky Valiant Meets Frankenstein's What?! (A Halloween Adventure), pt. 710/12/2020 One time, when Douglas was much younger, he told me he wanted to try Fantasy Football. So we tried it & ended up really enjoying playing it. We've played every year since & I always call my team 'The Jimmy Valiants' in honor of my favorite pro wrestler. I've never been that good at it, but I enjoy playing & it's something fun for Douglas & I to share. This year though, I've so far done a good job of picking my players because I am currently the lone undefeated team in our league at 4-0 & also the current #1 team. I've never been #1 in the league at any point in the past that I remember & I've never been the last team left unbeaten, so I'm very happy about both accomplishments. It's hard to say how the rest of the season will go, but so far so good for The Jimmy Valiants! Be back next week for another Boogieland Below strip! Thanks for reading! Take care.
Boogieland Below! #43 - Micky Valiant Meets Frankenstein's What?! (A Halloween Adventure), pt. 610/5/2020 One of my favorite places to go in the whole world is the Peaks of Otter Lodge on the Blue Ridge Parkway. So beautiful & peaceful! It was really nice going there over the weekend w/my wife Gala & son Douglas. We had a really nice time. I also had fun watching Bugsy McGraw on the wonderful Captain's Corner show online. Getting the chance to spend a little time w/Boogie & Angel & some of our BWC Family was a wonderful way to end an fun filled weekend! Be back next Monday for another Boogieland Below comic strip! Thanks for reading! Take care!
Boogieland Below! #42 - Micky Valiant Meet's Frankenstein's What?! (A Halloween Adventure), pt. 59/28/2020 Had a wonderful weekend! Spent a lot of time w/family which is always nice & so important. Halloween is getting closer! I have my costume for this year all planned out, but need to start putting it together. Can't wait to debut it on the big day or maybe earlier at the annual family Halloween party! Can't wait! Be back next Monday for more comic strip fun! Thanks for reading! Take care!
