I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I certainly did. It was a wonderful time spent w/loved ones! I celebrated in my traditional ways of eating lots of yummy food, playing football, watching football, watching pro wrestling including Starrcade & Survivor Series & also remembering all the ways I am blessed in my life. It was really nice getting to see Boogie & some of the other BWC Family over the weekend. My fantasy football team improved to 10-1 last week & it's looking good for a possible victory this week too, but the game could still go either way so I have to wait until next week to tell you how that ends up. Very sad that David Prowse died yesterday. Among many other roles, Prowse was famous for playing Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy. I was fortunate enough to meet him once at Heroes Con in Charlotte, NC. He was very nice & happy to talk to his many fans. I really enjoyed attending his panel at the con that year. He will be missed but he will always live on in the iconic image he helped to create. RIP David Prowse. Now that Thanksgiving is over I'm super excited to celebrate the Christmas season! But I hope you enjoyed one more taste (pun intended) of Thanksgiving today w/this Belated Thanksgiving story. Be back next Monday as the Christmas storyline begins! Thanks for reading! Take care!

Boogieland Below! #50 - Micky Valiant Meets Frankenstein's What?! (A Halloween Adventure), pt. 1311/23/2020 Really getting excited about Thanksgiving! The big day is almost here! I've been watching Starrcade as part of my traditional celebration, & I watched parts of the 2020 Survivor Series show last night for the same reason. Sad to see The Undertaker retire, but a fitting send off. Thank you Taker! Also watched A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving w/Douglas. I'm super excited about the big day itself. The Macy's Parade, the football games, the food, & of course being thankful for all the things I'm blessed w/in my life. Spending time w/family & friends is always an important part of any holiday. I'm getting all excited just thinking about it & I'm thankful it is almost here! Speaking of football, after losing my first Fantasy Football game of the season to my son, Douglas' team last week, I have a chance to bounce back & get back on a winning streak. A little to close to call w/one game left tonight to decide the winner in my game this week, but I'm hoping The Jimmy Valiants can pull out a big win! I'll give the report next week! Be back next week to for a new Boogieland comic strip & a new story now that this Halloween one is done. Have a wonderful, happy Thanksgiving! Thanks for reading! Take care.
Boogieland Below! #49 - Micky Valiant Meets Frankenstein's What?! (A Halloween Adventure), pt. 1211/16/2020 I had a wonderful birthday weekend! It was so nice celebrating my special day w/my family & friends who mean so much to me! Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday in some way! Well, the streak has come to an end. This week of Fantasy Football doesn't end officially until after today's games but my opponent & I have played all of our players already & for the first time this season I have been outscored. The silver lining of that is it was my son, Douglas, who got the victory, so while it's disappointing to finally have a long streak ended, it's great that Douglas got to be the one to end it. I always cheer for him over myself anyway, so I'm happy he got the distinction of beating the unbeaten team. The other silver lining is I'm still in first place in our league! Hopefully I can get back to my winning ways & finish strong in these final games. I'll keep you posted! Be back next Monday for more Boogieland! Thanks for reading! Take care.
Boogieland Below! #48 - Micky Valiant Meets Frankenstein's What?! (A Halloween Adventure), pt. 1111/9/2020 It was a beautiful day yesterday weather wise in my area! I was fortunate enough to spend lots of quality time outside w/my family. That was really nice! So after last week's blurb, my fantasy football team, The Jimmy Valiants, improved to 8-0! Still undefeated! This weeks games aren't officially over until after the Monday night game, but my opponent & myself have both already used all our players so once the week is officially done my record is guaranteed to improve to 9-0! Pretty awesome! It's kinda funny because my next opponent, The Barbarians, is my son Douglas' team. Our teams played in week one & I got the victory, so Douglas is not only looking for a little payback, I'm sure he's wanting to end my streak too! Time will tell! I'll keep you posted! Be back this Monday for more Boogieland! Thanks for reading! Take care.
Boogieland Below! #47 - Micky Valiant Meets Frankenstein's What?! (A Halloween Adventure), pt. 1011/2/2020 Happy Belated Halloween! I hope everyone had a spooky, safe & fun Halloween! I sure did! & the Halloween fun continues today & beyond as this Halloween-themed storyline continues! I'm pleased to report that since the last post my The Jimmy Valiants fantasy football team has improved to 7-0 & still sits in first place a top my league! I'll be sure to keep reporting as the season goes on. Be back next Monday for more Boogieland Below! Thanks for reading! Take care.
