So, I love Halloween, & I've never felt like September is too early to celebrate the spooky holiday. I love watching classic scary movies & reading Halloween themed comics as well as making my own. August may be a little too early to start this Halloween storyline, but it is the last day of August, so I guess it's not as bad as it seems. Also when I took Douglas to DQ last night, they were no longer selling S'mores Blizzards, so that seems like a sure sign that summer is now pretty much over. Also, since this comic strip only comes out once a week on Mondays, so I need to start early to make sure I get done w/the storyline as close to 10/31 as I can. I hope you will enjoy this new Halloween storyline! Thanks for reading! Take care!

Had a wonderful time celebrating my son Douglas' 15th birthday this weekend! We started celebrating a day early w/a meal at a Japanese restaurant w/family. Then on Douglas' actual birthday, 8/22, he got to bring a friend for an amazing day on the lake in a boat. The boys spent most of the day being pulled around on a float. This was followed by a family party at my wife Gala's dad's house. The next day, my mom Faye came for a visit & brought an incredible, wonderful scrapbook that she has worked really hard on for some time now, documenting Douglas' 15 years so far. It was an amazing collection of wonderful memories! Thank you for sharing that, Mom! Then we went out for some delicious Mexican food w/more family. A full weekend celebrating the awesome blessing of having Douglas as our awesome son! There are still some family members who haven't had a chance to celebrate w/Douglas yet, so the party will likely continue in the near future! Be back next Monday for the start of another new storyline! Thanks for reading! Take care!
Had a great week this week. Enjoyed a really nice visit w/my Uncle Earl & Aunt Kathy & their friend Danny. The weekend came & went in a blur! So did the summer for that matter! Douglas is back to school tomorrow. First day of high school! Super exciting & at the same time so hard to believe it is here already. We are very proud of him & can't wait to see what his high school years hold! Be back next week for the 2nd part in the two part 'A Belated Christmas in July Special!" Thanks for reading! Take care!
I had such a wonderful weekend! First, on Friday & Saturday my wife Gala & I celebrated our twenty year wedding anniversary! Two days of celebrating for two decades of marriage! It has been a wonderful twenty years since we got married on that special day on Aug. 8th, 2000. We celebrated at the lake taking a boat cruise & swimming. We ate at some of our favorite restaurants, but the best food of the weekend was Gala's delicious omelettes that she fixed for us for a nice, romantic breakfast on Sat. morning. On Sunday, I had the honor of celebrating the birthdays of Boogie & Angel Valiant at their special shared birthday celebration. The Valiants are so special to me & my family, so it was very nice to be able to celebrate their special days w/them. Special thanks to Nathan, Stacia & Creighton for providing the delicious & super cool looking birthday cake! Happy Birthday Boogie & Angel! & Happy Anniversary one more time to my beautiful wife, Gala! Be back next Monday for the beginning of a new Boogieland storyline! Thanks for reading! Take care!
Well, had a little tech issue locking me out of the Weebly site for a sec, but thanks to help from my mom, Faye, was able to get back in & get this comic strip published as scheduled! Thanks Mom! Mom has helped me out on this site & my comic strips many, many times & it is greatly appreciated! This Thursday, August 6th is a very special day in Boogieland as it is Boogieland co-founder Jimmy Valiant's birthday! Be sure to reach out to the Boogie Woogie Man & wish him a very happy birthday! Be back next Monday for another Boogieland comic strip as long as I don't get myself locked out again! :) Thanks for reading! Take care!
