'Welcome to the somewhat milestone 711th Boogieland or Bust comic strip! What's so special about that? Well, when your mind works the way mine does, it takes me back to the many fond memories I have of living by myself in an apt. right down the street from a 7-11 store. I kissed my wife Gala for the very first time at that apt. Gala & I used to drive the very short distance from my apt. to the 7-11 & get a Skor bar to split just so we could sit & have long conversations in the car in the 7-11 parking lot. There were many times when I would need to make a copy of something for my homemade collage comics & I would run up to 7-11 & use their copier at all hours. It was a fun time. I used to pace back & forth for hours w/my parrot, Poem, on my shoulder while talking to my mom, Faye, on the phone. I used to hang out there on weekend nights w/my buddy, Big Matt, watching old wrestling matches, including of course, my favorite, Jimmy Valiant. I got the chance to pass right by that same 7-11 store w/Boogie, Capt. Joe & Big Al & I told them all about how great those times were. I could walk to my brother's nearby apt. & play video games or watch a movie. I had Halloween parties at that apt. My nephew Scottie used to sit on my bed & play w/my bass guitars because even then he loved music. So yeah, it's really more the apt. that I have fond memories of, but still, that old local 7-11 store was a big part of my memories from that special time. So, as silly as it may seem, I'll only ever have one Boogieland comic strip #711, so I just had to take a moment to reflect on those good times. I even went so far as to include the words 'convenience' & 'store' in today's strip! Yeah, I know. Well, I hope you enjoyed that walk down memory lane. I sure did. & I hope you enjoyed today's comic. Be back this Mon. for more Boogieland fun! Go get yourself a Slurpee! I sure am!

Congratulations on 711, and thanks for the trip down memory lane. I have a special memory of that same store and it involves a choco-taco and keys getting locked in my car with the motor running! :) Ah, the memories!
